British F4 Championship 2020
November 13th – 15th
Rounds 24, 25, 26
RAIN STOPS PLAY!
It was in fact the last race weekend of the 2020 British F4 season and it rained
and rained and rained and barely stopped.
And with the drivers in the F1 Grand Prix in a rain soaked Istanbul it took all the guile and might of Roman and the other young drivers to keep their cars on the track. But as difficult as the conditions were Roman did and managed a gain five places to third position (and another podium perhaps?) before the stewards red flagged the race and decided it shop not continue.
Not the end of such an exciting and competitive season that Roman wanted but he’ll be very happy in the knowledge that he came a respectable 8th position in the overall Championship standings.
So he’s off to enjoy a short winter break before training resumes in readiness for the 2021 season. He just can’t wait!

Meet roman bilinski
Roman Bilinski is 16 years old. Like other kids his age he enjoys doing what 16 year olds do.
But that is where the similarity stops. Roman is different from other kids his age because he races cars. Fast cars. At over 240kph.
And he’s very good at it too. Some people say he’s very talented whilst others say he’s just a natural. Perhaps they’re all right.
What we do know is that Roman (aka Romski to his family and friends) is very ambitious, extremely focused and has a winning mentality although his calm, calculated temperament gives him a maturity that belies his young age.
In the few short years since he started racing karts he’s been successful in winning the 2017 Rissington Honda Cadet Championship and the Nigel Mansell ‘Most Promising Driver’ Award.
And his first season in Ginetta Juniors proved equally good having won Rookie 1st Place and the ‘Hard Charger’ Award in the 2018 Ginetta Junior Winter Series at Brands Hatch. He also took an overall podium finish and a further top-ten finishes from the opening seven rounds of the highly competitive Championship.
Much of his success is due to the hard work he puts in to his racing. His everyday routine involves gym work, simulator training, reading, watching and understanding everything about his race car and the race circuits.
If there’s anything he needs to know then he’ll eat it up. His appetite for success is insatiable.
And now he’s graduated to single-seater racing cars and joined Arden Motorsport where he’ll drive in the 2020 British F4 Championship in front of capacity track-side crowds and an accumulative TV audience of over 19 million people*.
He’s currently testing on circuits in the UK and Spain in readiness for the first races in March 2020 and Gary Ward, Arden F4 Team manager, said:
‘We’ve watched Roman’s progress for a while now and have been very impressed. He’s very focused and committed and has the will to win. We love working with him. His goal is F1 and nobody can say he’s not going to make it’.
And he’s right. Roman is determined to go all the way.
Perhaps his determination has something to do with his Polish heritage; he’s certainly no pushover on the circuits, or maybe it’s something to do with his natural ability to drive fast and furious.
Either way Roman Bilinski is a champion in the making.
